About Mrs. Preston
My name is Mrs. Francesca Preston and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! This year is going to be filled with new learning, exploration, discovery, and fun!
I was born and raised in Middletown, NJ and currently live in Spring Lake Heights with my husband, daughter, Charlotte, and labradoodle, Rosie! We will also be welcoming a new addition, a baby boy this December! If you see us around town, please make sure to say hello! In 2010, I graduated from The College of New Jersey with degrees in English and Elementary Education. Then, in 2015 I received my Masters in Special Education. I also have my certification in English as a Second Language; and I am a certified dyslexia tutor and teacher that is trained and certified in using multisensory techniques based on an Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach. Before teaching at Spring Lake Heights, I taught first grade for four years in Springfield, New Jersey. This is my tenth year teaching at Spring Lake Heights, and I could not be happier to teach in a wonderful community of teachers, students, and families. My main goals as an educator are to build a classroom community where my students feel safe, challenged, and loved; and to develop a life-long love of learning in my students. Mrs. Preston's Favorites: TEACHING, coffee, pink and green, my family, cycling, elephants, dogs, and pizza! |
